Also included are organizations that help qualifying patients complete and file paperwork for submission to drug manufacturers to request such medication or which maintain lists of these types of programs for referral purposes. You will need to join a Medicare prescription drug plan (Medicare Part D) for Medicare to pay for your drugs. This program provides you with insurance coverage for prescription drugs. It pays for both brand name and generic drugs, and offers you a choice of plans. As with other types of insurance, your monthly premium and out of pocket costs may be different in different plans.

HOW TO SIGN UP. 1) Check available plans to see if your prescription drugs are covered. 2) Find out which pharmacies the drug plans in your area use to make sure they are convenient. 3) Determine if the monthly fees work for you. All these things are important to help you choose a plan

If you are a Medicare beneficiary with limited income and resources, you may be able to get extra help paying for your monthly premiums, deductibles, and co-payments under this prescription drug program. The Benewah Medical Clinic has nurses that visit patients with diabetes, and educates them on diabetes and blood glucose monitoring. The clinic also has a glucometer program that provides glucometer training and education on what blood sugar means. People with diabetes are also educated on foot and eye care. They also have access to documents in Braille and large print documents.

Parenting classes which include the Positive Parenting model and Parenting as Prevention model. Class structure provides informal parent support group. On site child care provided.
