Services Provided: Call for Victim Panel Locations (Victim's Panel). The focus of MADD is victim assistance. Victims of alcohol-related crashes or family of victims are assisted with court procedures, trauma, and community resources, following a crash. Also available are speakers to give talks on the dangers of drunk driving and the ramifications it could have on someone's life. MADD also has a Victim Impact Panel for offenders, on the 1st Wednesday of every month. This is a court-ordered program. Information brochures are available on such topics as helping children cope with a death, victim trauma and injuries, the criminal justice system, and the dangers of drunk driving. The "Red Ribbon" campaign sponsored by MADD is used to remind people not to drink and drive. A red ribbon is placed on car antennas as the reminder.

Services Provided: Idaho Drug Free Youth (IDFY) is a statewide primary drug, alcohol, and tobacco prevention program designed and governed by teens in middle and high school. The mission of Idaho Drug Free Youth is to educate, motivate, and support youth to abstain from using substances. There are chapters of IDFY throughout the state. These chapters are directed by the teen participants and facilitated by advisors. Kids vow to avoid substances and endorse that commitment by submitting to voluntary urinalysis. They receive a picture identification card which provides them with discounts and incentives from area merchants throughout the state. This program follows the State Department of Education's Safe and Drug Free School Principles of Effectiveness as well as Hawkins and Catalano's Risk and Protective Factor Research.

Services Provided: BYDC's Promise offers an array of information about youth. BYDC's Promise offers youth living in Bonneville County opportunities for service, leadership and prevention, as well as positive social activities. We work with the 40 Developmental Assets and the 5 Promises to make our community better for youth. The Bonneville Youth Council or BYC is the youth component of BYDC's Promise.
Objectives
To support youth by
* Providing opportunities for service.
* Promoting the 40 Assets and Five Promises in Bonneville County.
* Collaborating and networking with our partners and community members to enhance current programs.
* Continuing to find ways to increase parent involvement in schooling, youth as resources, adult role models, community valuing youth, creative activities, and planning and decision making in Bonneville County.
BYDC has launched anew parent education program called "BYDC'S Connecting the Dots".This program is designed to show parents small "dots" that could lead t alcohol and drug abuse Typically a youth has been abusing alcohol or drugs 1 to 2 years before a parent suspects abuse. This program is to help parents see potential problems before they are big problems.

The inpatient program is appropriate for people with alcohol/drug problems requiring comprehensive 24-hour care, including those in more advanced stages of alcohol/drug dependency, as well as persons with physical complications requiring medical attention or detoxification, or in cases where a high probability of relapse exists.
The program consists of five components:
Evaluation
Detoxification
Stabilization
Therapy
Aftercare planning
The evaluation phase involves gathering information which is used to develop a personalized treatment plan. A physical examination is provided to determine if there are any medical problems requiring attention and to initiate medical care as needed. The patient is safely withdrawn from alcohol/drugs under the care of a staff physician. During the stabilization/therapy phase, the patient participates in a structured therapeutic program which includes:
Individual Therapy (as indicated)
Group Therapy
Introduction to 12-Step Recovery Groups
Nutritional Assessment and Counseling
Educational Sessions Regarding the Disease Concept
Relapse Prevention
Occupational Therapy
Discharge Preparation Group
Family meetings may be held to resolve problems, improve communication, heal past issues, and plan ahead.
Prior to completion of the program, a discharge/aftercare plan is developed. The plan contains recommendations for continued care on an outpatient basis.
