Persons with a hearing or speech disability

Telecommunications Relay Services permit persons with a hearing or speech disability to use the telephone system via a text telephone (TTY) or other device to call persons with or without such disabilities.

To make using TRS as simple as possible, you can simply dial 711 to be automatically connected to a TRS operator. No cost.

Provides information, training, and technical assistance for parents and professionals to meet the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students from birth to age 21.

Works with children and adults who experience hearing loss in the greater Dallas, Texas area and across the U.S. 

Provides advanced hearing technology and services to individuals with hearing loss.

• Cochlear implants

A diagnostic and education center for young children with hearing loss. Offers worldwide family services, local family services, professional education, preschool, and hearing testing. 

Funds research to understand hearing and balance functions, and educates people on how to prevent, identify, preserve, and restore these.

Families and school personnel (including those in training) who have at least one student with a disability can sign up for free membership.

Provides services designed to support and improve the academic achievement of students who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing, or deaf-blind.
