The Diabetes Control Program coordinates with Idaho health system efforts to reduce diabetes and its complications through public and professional education and awareness programs and promote standards of diabetes care. *Injury Prevention Program
The Injury Prevention Program provides exercise information to seniors over 65 to increase flexibility, strength, balance, endurance and to prevent falls.

*Oral Health Program
The Oral Health Program, funded by the Maternal and Child Health Title V Block Grant, is a population-based program to promote oral health and prevent dental disease. Local oral health programs are conducted through contracts with the state's seven district health departments to conduct school-based fluoride mouth rinse programs and child cavities prevention.

*Tobacco Prevention, Control and Cessation Program
The Tobacco Prevention and Control Program addresses smoking and spit tobacco prevention, as well as environmental (secondhand) tobacco smoke clean indoor air through education and advocacy targeted toward influencing behavioral, environmental and policy changes. The Idaho Tobacco Millenium Funds allow the local public health departments to coordinate free tobacco cessation classes for pregnant women, youth, and adults.
