Services Provided: Full name: Love INC of the Boise Community. Love INC (aka Love In the Name of Christ) mobilizes church volunteers to help people in need through acts of service and donated product. Love INC is not an emergency service and does not give out money. The call center screens requests for legitimacy and gives financial referrals to agencies, or involves volunteers from 25 partner churches in resourcing the needs within the ministry's scope. Volunteers from a Love INC partner church provide a wide variety of services (rides, yard work, moving, home repairs etc.) using their talents to help those less fortunate who may otherwise fall through the cracks. Products (such as diapers, clothing, coats, household goods and supplies) are available through a voucher system. Love INC Boise provides a 6-month, accountable program called Abundant Living which is designed to help people find their way out of financial problems and into a debt-free way of living. Adults in the home are required to attend weekly group sessions and weekly meetings with a personal Budget Counselor. The Abundant Living Program is Christian and Christian principles are taught throughout. Prayer is an integral part of each class and meeting. This program is not income-based. The program is available to those who wish to build a disciplined plan for their life and get out of and stay out of debt.

Services Provided: The Women's and Children's Alliance provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. Since 1980, the nonprofit WCA has been in the forefront of protecting women and their children escaping violent circumstances. The WCA Crisis Center's secure residential shelters primarily serve abused women and their children from Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley counties. The agency also provides uniquely comprehensive local support services to those affected by domestic and sexual violence.

Agency offers a 24 hour domestic violence and/or sexual assault hot line, temporary shelter, residential program (shelter for up to 120 days), support groups, individual counseling, case management, education classes and court advocacy for women experiencing domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Shelter and residential services are available to children of the parent utilizing services. On site child care available for support groups and classes. Must call and give WCA 24 hour notice if you need child care for the support group and/or classes.

Clothing, counseling, parenting courses, help with assistance programs. A self-help program. One-on-one counseling and educational support group provided. *Need to provide own food.

**Thrift Shop. Complimenting the established Crisis Center program is the WCA Thrift Store. Individuals within the community contribute clothing, household items, and other in valuables that may then be sold to the general public to generate revenue. More importantly, however, these items are then made available, at no cost, to the Crisis Center residents.

CINDERELLA'S CLOSET: Since 2005, ALB has been lending formal wear to Ada County high school girls who wish to attend Homecoming and Prom activities so they may be full participants in the high school experience. In 2007 we added menswear and began lending tuxedos to young men. We maintain an inventory of over 600 donated gowns and 77 tuxedos.

OPERATION SCHOOL SUPPLIES: District-designated supplies are given to Ada County students whose parents are in need.

PROJECT HEARING: Volunteers provide assistance to Ada County hearing impaired, and scholarships to hearing impaired students. Hearing aids or equipment are given to people in need.

HISTORY IN THE BOWN HOUSE: Our docents at this 1879 restored house open the doors on how 1890’s Idaho farm life felt to children. Fourth graders participate in an agricultural learning game, experiment with period communication devices, and follow the changes in fortune that occurred on the westward Oregon Trail journey. They participate in a period classroom and learn about daily farmstead chores and family leisure.

BABY BUNDLES: Through this program we supply newborn layettes to all Ada County hospitals where they are distributed to new mothers at the discretion of the social work and nursing staff.

EMPOWERING YOUTH: This program completed development in Spring of 2014 to provide necessary items to 18 year olds who are aging out of the Foster Care System in Ada County.

**How CATCH program works? - The case manager will work with four shelters (Hope's Door, Lighthouse Rescue Mission, Salvation Army and Valley Crisis), as well as with WICAP, to receive referrals for families that meet the program qualifications. Once a family is determined to be eligible, that family will sign a lease directly with a landlord and CATCH of Canyon County will pay the rent, with funds donated by businesses, faith-based organizations, private individuals and stimulus dollars.

Donated products (such as clothing, coats and household supplies) are available through the Clearinghouse voucher system. Love INC focuses its efforts on the New Hope Relational Program: a long-term, highly-accountable program designed to coach people out of financial problems and into a debt-free way of living. Adults in the home are required to attend weekly group classes and meet with a personal Budget Mentor. The New Hope Relational Program is Christian and Christian principles are taught throughout. Prayer is an integral part of each class and meeting. The Transformational Programs are not income-based and clients can be of any faith to participate. Programs are available to those who wish to build a disciplined plan for their life and get out of and stay out of debt.

Program includes the following components: Child Custody & Family Mediation; Victim Assistance Counseling; Victim/Offender Mediation; Testing & Assessment; Social Skills/Anger Management; Competency Building.

Out of Home Placement Program provides 8 out of home placements for young people in the custody of the State under Child Protection or Childrens Mental Health. Out of care is provided in the following two settings:
**Transitional Group Care Project - structured group care for adolescents in the custody of the State of Idaho.
**Treatment Family Program - a professional foster care program providing community based and family centered treatment to young people in State custody.

Bannock House provides emergency shelter, counseling and aftercare services to runaway & homeless youth and their families.

Runaway Homeless Youth Project provides emergency shelter only for adolescents. Counseling and aftercare services to runaway and homeless. They can house 13 youths, co-ed from ages 10-1.

Programs are administered by the Bannock Youth Foundation, a private, non-profit organization that has been providing a variety of intervention, treatment and support to youth and families in Bannock County since 1978.
