Biosketch:

Karena Luttmer completed her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 2018 and earned her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree 2012. She has more than 3,000 hours of didactic and clinical education.

She is certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), which includes certification in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Clean Needle Technique.

After graduation, Karena completed an internship at the Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine in Harbin, China, receiving advanced certification in clinical Chinese Herbology.

Karena’s training includes adjunctive therapies such as moxibustion, tuina, shiatsu, acupressure, cupping, auriclotherapy, electrical stimulation (e-stim), and dietary/lifestyle recommendations.

She is a native of Utah growing up in Salt Lake City and Park City areas. She graduated from of the University of Utah in Psychology and has continued studies in Sociology and Behavioral Sciences. Additionally, she enjoys outdoor activities as well as taking part in community events.

Karena currently volunteers at The Inn Between and the Cancer Wellness House. Both facilities are amazing and provide free services to the community.

Karena also works part time at Primary Children’s Hospital providing both inpatient and outpatient care to children. She teaches acupressure courses for anyone interested in the Life Long Learning Program at the University of Utah.
